AFC CUP Group D Analysis:Basundhara Kings

History: The club started their football journey with 2016 DCC (N&S) Pioneer League, where they finished the league in 3rd position. In 2017 it played in the Bangladesh Champions league with former Bangladesh striker Kanchan as its captain.On 4th November 2017 the club confirmed its participation in the Bangladesh premier league after a dramatic victory of 2-1 against Agrani Club of Bangladesh.

Strengths:This is one of the most high profile clubs of Bangladesh football. The likes of Robson, Becerra, Jonathan can create trouble for any South Asian Clubs. Also the team comprises of the surprise package of Elita Kingsley, who is a prolific striker. Several Bangladesh National team players are also in their firepower which is surely an advantage for them.

Weakness:This team does not possess enough experience playing at the international level. Also in terms of physicality Basundhara Kings is lagging far behind. Basundhara's goalkeeping is also a position of concern as Anisur Rahman Zico is not enough competent to play at International events.The 5feet 7inches goalkeeper faces a great problem in dealing with aerial balls.Also his outing is a major area of concern for the Basundhara Kings squad.
